Billboard has crowned Beyonce its Woman of the Year, the magazine reports. The singer-actress will be accepting the award at the 2009 Billboard Women In Music Event on Oct. 2 in New York. It’s been a busy year for Beyonce. Aside from a slew of smash hits including “Single Ladies” and “Halo,” Beyonce also kicked off her world tour “I Am,” which showcased her philanthropic side as she gave 2,500 tickets to families affected by Detroit’s auto industry crisis.
