Proviso West senior Kyle Prater will announce his college choice at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Proviso West Little Theater.
The 6-foot-4-inch, 210-pound Prater is the top-ranked receiver and fourth-ranked player in the country, according to Rivals.com. He caught 60 passes for almost 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns last season.
“He has a chance to be the No. 1 receiver in the country,” said Prater’s coach, Famous Hulbert.
According to Rivals.com, Prater will decide between Illinois, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Tennessee and USC.
