The Bears lost Thursday night before the first quarter even ended.
Backup running back Kevin Jones a left the game with left ankle injury and was carted off the field after a late-hit by Browns defensive back Bret Lockett at the end of a short gain. Lockett was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct on the play.
It never bodes well when a player cannot leave the field under his own power, and Jones appeared in pain. That would seem to solidify the roster status of Adrian Peterson, who was fighting for a spot as the fourth running back.
