WBBM-AM reports: A Cook County grand jury today lodged attempted murder charges against 20-year-old Brian Ruiz in the Aug. 19 attack on off-duty firefighter Matt Jones in Lincoln Park. Ruiz was indicted on one count of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.
