Red Sox 4, Angels 1: Daisuke Matsuzaka scattered three hits in six shutout innings to win his first start after missing three months with a shoulder injury.

Orioles 10, Rays 5: Matt Wieters’ two-run single in the fifth helped Baltimore rally from a 5-0 deficit. Pat Burrell had a three-run homer and four RBIs for Tampa Bay.

Royals 11, Tigers 1: Albert Callaspo, David DeJesus and Miguel Olivo homered as Kansas City handed Detroit its sixth loss in its last eight games.

Blue Jays 10, Yankees 4: Travis Snider hit two of Toronto’s four home runs and Roy Halladay improved to 3-1 against New York this season.

Twins 5, Indians 4: Brian Buscher and Nick Punto had RBI singles in a two-run sixth inning to lift Minnesota. Orlando Cabrera homered for the Twins.

Athletics 6, Rangers 1: Rajai Davis went 3-for-4 with four RBIs for Oakland. David Murphy homered for Texas, which lost its third straight game.

White Sox at Mariners: Seattle’s Ian Snell has won four of his last five starts. Ex-Mariner Freddy Garcia, who has a 2.25 ERA in his last two outings, went for Chicago.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

Braves 6, Mets 0: Rookie Tommy Hanson and two relievers pitched a four-hitter as Atlanta won its fifth straight. Adam LaRoche hit two homers and scored four runs.

Reds 5, Astros 4: Paul Janish’s RBI double put Cincinnati ahead in the seventh. Scott Rolen had two RBIs for the Reds, who have won nine of 12 against Houston.

Phillies 6, Nationals 0: Cliff Lee pitched a six-hit shutout with nine strikeouts for Philadelphia. Carlos Ruiz had a three-run double in the second.

Marlins 2, Cardinals 1: Dan Uggla’s two-run homer in the sixth lifted Florida. Rookie Sean West had nine strikeouts to beat 18-game winner Adam Wainwright.

Cubs 13, Brewers 7: Geovany Soto hit a solo homer and added a two-run single for Chicago. The Cubs took the lead in the sixth when Aramis Ramirez was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

Diamondbacks at Padres: Arizona’s Dan Haren attempted to reach 14 wins for the fifth year in a row. San Diego’s Wade LeBlanc looked for his third straight win.

Pirates at Dodgers: Los Angeles’ Randy Wolf has a 2.09 ERA in his last five starts — winning all of them. Pittsburgh has lost 19 of its last 21 road games.

Rockies at Giants: NL wild-card leader Colorado has lost seven of eight in San Francisco. Rockies catcher Yorvit Torrealba is hitting .464 against his former teammates this season.
