Three Chicago residents were being held Thursday in connection with the kidnapping of a woman and her infant, the FBI said.
On Tuesday, Lemont police responded to a possible abduction at a residence in the southwest suburb. “A family member told us that a 31-year-old [woman] and a 5-month-old child were being abducted,” said Lemont Police Cmdr. Dan Tully.
On Wednesday, the victims were rescued unharmed from a residence on Chicago’s Southwest Side, FBI spokesman Ross Rice said.
No charges had been filed as of Thursday.
