Taylor Swift and Beyonce at least get to end their wild week on a high note — both ladies made it onto People’s 10 best-dressed list for 2009. In editions of the mag on newsstands Friday, Swift earned props for “best sparkle” — she IS always wearing sequins and glitter — while Mrs. Jay-Z took the prize for “best street chic.”
For the most part, People stuck to the usual suspects — Michelle Obama, Kate Winslet. But newcomer Freida Pinto of “Slumdog Millionaire” won “best use of color” and tween idol Vanessa Hudgens topped the Olsen twins for the “best boho chic” title.
People’s style editor also gave “Today’s” Natalie Morales a preview of some of the top fashion faux pas, namely Kate Gosselin’s angled ‘do and Jessica Simpson’s infamous high-waisted jeans. (We can’t imagine Lady Gaga’s blood-red lace face mask is far behind.)
