Federal prosecutors have announced charges against a 13th Chicago building inspector in the bribery probe known as Operation Crooked Code.
Dominick Owens, 43, of Chicago appeared in federal court Tuesday, accused of selling certificates of occupancy to a zoning “expediter” working as a mole for federal investigators. The expediter allegedly told investigators she paid Owens bribes in 2005 and 2006.
