The first lady now has her own sandwich — the “Michelle Melt” at Good Stuff Eatery in Washington. Spike Mendelsohn, a former contestant on Bravo’s “Top Chef” developed it, along with White House assistant chef Sam Kass, who also cooked for the Obamas in Chicago. And just what is a Michelle Melt? It’s a free range turkey burger with caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, ruby red tomato, crisp lettuce and South Lawn herb garden mayo on a freshly baked wheat bun. We’ll take two.
