Chicago police evacuated the Bank of America Theatre downtown Tuesday night and closed off several surrounding streets after two suspicious boxes with notes were discovered in an alley behind the theater at 18 W. Monroe St.
One letter read: “This is not a bomb,” while the second note read: “This is not going to end good,” Chicago Police Lt. Charles Flynn said.
Authorities immediately evacuated the theater, which was showing the Tony-winning musical “Jersey Boys.”
