X and O factor:

The Hilltoppers turned the ball over three times in the first half of a thrilling 21017 win over Lake Zurich last week.Wheaton Warrenville South pounces on mistakes and doesn’t make many.. If there’s a defense that can slow up the Tigers enough to win, it’s Glenbard West’s. The Hilltoppers use an aggressive 3-3-5 stack scheme, which has been good against the run and pass. On the flip side, moving the ball against the Tigers’ won’t be easy. . Glenbard West will run in an attempt to burn clock on long drives.

FYI:

The two schools are a combined 45-4 the past two seasons.

He said it:

“Now I’m getting all these e-mails from guys who graduated from Glenbard in the 1940s and 50s, and they’re saying, ‘They are always great games with Wheaton,’ or ‘Hey, we never liked those guys. Go beat ’em.’ It’s been interesting.” – Glenbard West coach Chad Hetlet.
