HIDDEN AGENDA
Winter Bike Tour of Uptown and Andersonville
Graceland Cemetery
4001 N. Clark St., 773-255-6347; bikewinter.org
Check it out if you … don’t want to put your bike in storage along with your flip-flops, would like to see more of Chicago’s neighborhoods, are looking for a way to get some exercise during the winter.
The deets: At 1 p.m. Saturday, you can take a free neighborhood bike ride as part of Chicago Bike Winter’s annual series of monthly rides (this sentence as published has been corrected in this text). Meant to encourage bikers to keep riding during the winter, the 15- to 20-mile narrated architectural tours also go through Hyde Park on Dec. 19, Lincoln Square on Jan. 30 and West Town on Feb. 27. Rides take place regardless of weather and have included up to 150 participants. Riders receive free masks and neck warmers.
The payoff: Keep your bike and your body in tune.
