* A good deal of sun through patches of midlevel cloudiness.
* Temperatures range from the upper teens over the most heavily snow-covered far northwest suburbs to the mid-20s over the bare ground.
* West winds back southwest 7 to 18 mph.
* Scattered clouds Friday night, not as cold.
* Steady south to SW overnight winds will limit lows to 10(degrees) inland and the teens by the lakeshore.
