Crow morphs into cougar

Sheryl Crow is moving into “Cougar Town.” The Grammy-winning singer/songwriter, 47, has scored a recurring role on the ABC comedy as the love interest of Josh Hopkins’ character, who lives next door to Courteney Cox’s cougar lady, usmagazine.com reports.

Not buying it, Bullock

Sandra Bullock insists she won’t be holding an Academy Award next month. “I’m so not winning an Oscar,” Bullock, who received her first-ever nomination, said at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival over the weekend. “Nine times out of 10 I always pick who’s going to win. And I already know who’s going to win.” Bullock, of course, already has most of the best actress awards this season.

The marrying kind

Hopefully Carrie Prejean’s latest endeavor won’t be quite so scandal-laden. The ex-Miss California got engaged Saturday to St. Louis Rams quarterback Kyle Boller, “E! News” reports. The two began dating in July as Prejean and her sexual cavorting drew lots of attention.

‘Idol’ speculation

“American Idol” must be looking for some serious snark. Stern would take a slight pay cut, assuming he’d get Cowell’s $50 million-per-season deal; he makes $100 million a year with Sirius radio.
