Ryan Collier was 3-for-3 with three RBIs for Coal City (21-11).

Danny Diaz had a two-run double in the top of the seventh to give Fenton (9-17, 5-9) the lead. Jon Zalecki pitched the seventh to earn the save.

Fremd clinches at least a tie for the MSL West with the win.

Chris Hipchen had a two-run, walk-off homer in the 11th to give Geneva the win. Riley Perry became the winningest pitcher in Geneva history.

Zach Pacanowski was 4-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs and Jeff Paulson had two hits, including his fifth home run of the year, and drove in three for Plainfield North (24-4, 15-2).

Colin McEnery had a solo homer, a grand slam and 6 RBIs as Providence clinched the Chicago Catholic League. Tim Hanrahan also had a grand slam in the win.

Reed-Custer 12, Seneca 1

Grant Van Haelst had a double, two home runs and four RBIs to lead Reed-Custer (21-11, 10-5). He was also the winning pitcher, allowing just one hit and striking out seven. Van Haelst’s two homers give him 11 on the season, breaking the school’s single-season record. He also had three hits, bringing his season total to 57, another school record.

St. Charles North 15, Elgin 2 (5 innings)

Chase Williams was 2-for-2 with a double, a home run and three RBIs for St. Charles North (25-4, 17-3). Jared Shurtleff pitched four innings and struck out 10 for the win.

Stagg 14, Thornwood 3 (5 innings)

Winning pitcher Dan Ahern struck out six while allowing just three hits and was 3-for-3 with three RBIs for Stagg (19-10, 10-2). Will Golding added a double and two RBIs in the win.

Nate Pearson was 3-for-4 with a triple and two stolen bases for Streamwood (18-11, 12-8).

Woodstock North 7, Rockford Christian 6

Nate Meyer laid down a suicide squeeze in the bottom of the seventh to earn the game-winning RBI. He was 1-for-3 with two RBIs on the day for Woodstock North (7-20).

Becky DeRuiter was 2-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI and Amanda Garr had two RBIs for Chicago Christian.

Tara Weber was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored and Brittany York drove in the winning run in the seventh for Crystal Lake Central (20-7, 13-2). Amy Rick also drove in two in the win.

Coal City’s Kirsten Verdun faced just one more than the minimum, allowing a single walk while no-hitting Manteno. She struck out 14. Kirsta Watson was 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs for the Coalers (31-0).
