This time, there’s no coming back.

Guard Jeff Jordan has decided to transfer from Illinois, the school announced Friday.

He appeared in 92 games in three seasons with the Illini.

“Jeff was an important part of our team; a competitor who provided depth and steady play at point guard and was a defensive presence for us,” Illinois coach Bruce Weber said in a news release. “We wish Jeff the best as he continues with his education and career.”

Weber added that this was a personal decision for Jordan, the son of Bulls Hall of Famer Michael Jordan, and said there was no decision made as to where Jordan would go.

Efforts to reach Jordan were unsuccessful.

Last season, the Loyola Academy product averaged 13.8 minutes per game, while scoring 1.5 ppg.

Jordan joined the team as a walk-on his freshman season. As a sophomore, Jordan played in 33 games and was awarded a scholarship for the 2009 spring semester. After that season, Jordan announced he would leave the team, but stay at Illinois. In October, he returned to the team as a walk-on.
