After opening my Chicago Tribune and sipping a cup of coffee taken from the microwave then eating a bannana, I read a subtle title/ pronouncement from a column contained therein saying “Chicago ad agency challenges LeBron: can you top Jordan?”
As a former Chicago Bull season ticketholder during what I refer to as the “glory years,” I consider this meaningless verbalization hyperbole- not short of blasphemy.
The only people or entities that could terminate Jordan was an egomanic acting like a GM, and a foolish managing partner-owner who deprived Chicagoans of a seventh NBA Championship and possibly more, while he and his manky partners made millions.
Crazy isn’t it, so long live the curse of Michael Jordan, and his greatest achievements as a basketball player won’t be duplicated here again.
But, hope springs eternal.
