I am writing to you to voice my loud support of Judge Wally Dunn in the upcoming election for Circuit Court Judge in the 4th Subcircuit of Lake County, Illinois. I practice law in Lake County and for the past 24 years, I have had the honor of appearing in front of Judge Dunn.
Our local judges have a tremendous impact on the lives of the individual who come before them. Unlike other public officials, who promote policies and create law to govern the public at large, judges must examine the details of each case before them, meet the people involved and understand the viewpoints of each side. Judges are expected to resolve disputes in a way that is both fair to the parties and right according to the law. Judge Dunn has the unique combination of experience and intelligence necessary to accomplish these goals.
Judge Wally Dunn left private practice in 1986 to become a Lake County judge. Over the past 20 years, I’ve tried many cases before Judge Dunn. In the time, I’ve known him to be thoughtful, pragmatic and fair.
Judge Dunn is up for election by voters in Deerfield, Green Oaks, Highwood, Highland Park, Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Mettawa and eastern parts of Libertyville. As his time as judge continues to benefit all of Lake County, I urge everyone to vote for Judge Wall Dunn.
