Charnelle Reed scored 23 and Sydni Johnson and Ashley Collins each had 14 points for Homewood-Flossmoor. Samirah Ali led Hillcrest with 15 points.

Marshall’s Brianna Walker had game-winning layup with 6 seconds left in overtime.

Cassidy Glenn scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds and Emily Persak had 10 points and 11 rebounds for Providence (1-1). Danielle Barry led the way with 16 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks.

DeAsia Garrett hit a three-pointer with five seconds remaining to give Rich South the win. She finished with 16 points. Kiela Garner had 11 points, 11 rebounds and four steals in the win.

Heather Obmann’s 21 points powered the offense for St. Benedict (2-0). Amanda Genge chipped in 12 points and six steals.
