Tribune cartoonist Scott Stantis put into pictures what so many people can’t seem to understand in words. The Willis family paid an unimaginable price for former Gov. George Ryan’s crimes. Ryan’s son, “Homer” Ryan, called U.S. District Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer “heartless and cruel” and her decision to not let the former governor out of prison early to be with his dying wife “cold-hearted.” Really? I’m still waiting to hear any words of remorse for the deaths of the six Willis children from George — or from his wife.
