A female Northwestern student fought off a man who attempted to attack her Thursday evening, the university said this morning.
The incident happened at about 7:15 p.m. in the 2200 block of Orrington Avenue in Evanston. The student was walking south when two men passed her, a press release said. One of the men turned suddenly, grabbed the student and began punching her, the release states.
