Regarding the Tucson tragedy: most of the media are not focused on the real problem. It’s the handguns, stupid. As with all problems in America, the solution is economic. We need to make the gun business much less profitable, and to do this I am calling on a national boycott of the manufacturers and the retailers who sell these products. As a public service will you please print the largest ten makers and retailers so we can start this boycott? Will your paper be brave enough to go against the NRA and print the names?
Also, we should pass a $5.00 per bullet tax on ammunition to start some buy-backs of all the handguns out there. Guns are the problem and we need to get rid of them.
