Jabari Parker had 20 points and six rebounds for Simeon. Rashawn McElrath had seven points and eight rebounds in the win.

Wayne (Ohio) 74, No. 12 Young 55

Sam Thompson turned in 24 points and seven rebounds and Kwai Pearson scored 15 points for Young in the loss.

GALESBURG TOURNAMENT

Galesburg 74, Minooka 50

Adam Reynolds scored 17 points for Minooka in the loss.

Galesburg 56, York 50
Branson Thompson was 14-of-16 from the free-throw line and finished with 22 points as Galesburg won the tournament championship. York’s Will Sullivan scored 16 in the loss.

Maine South 71, Marian Catholic 45

Matt Palucki scored 25 points and Casey Bruce added 16 for Maine South.

Maine South 53, Minooka 51

Casey Bruce scored 22 points and Matt Palucki added 11 as Maine South finished 4-1 in the Galesburg tournament. Minooka’s Ben Heide scored 16 points.

No. 8 Warren 63, Marian Catholic 28

Jeremiah Jackson scored 12 points and Brandon Ferguson had 11 for Warren. Tyler Ulis scored 11 for Marian Catholic in the loss.

No. 8 Warren 61, Sterling 53

Darius Paul poured in 28 points, including 14 in the third quarter, to lead Warren. Nathan Boothe added 19 in the win.

York 71, United Township 64

York was led by David Cohn with 20 points and Will Sullivan with 17. Mike Despinich added 15 points in the win.

Megan Rogowski scored 21 points to lead Hersey (17-4). Maggie Hogan also added 12 points and 15 rebounds in the win.

Danielle Peco was the leading scorer for Riverside-Brookfield (7-11) with 15 points.

Brittany Halliday scored 18 points and Emily Halliday had 10 for Coal City. Coal City and Herscher will meet for 5th place Wednesday.
