Facebook poking
Craigslist’s notorious “adult services” section may be gone, but if a Columbia University study is to believed, the prostitution industry is still thriving online. “I estimate that by the end of 2011, Facebook will be the leading online recruitment space,” Columbia sociology professor Sudhir Venkatesh said. His study findings showed that 83 percent of the 290 New York City prostitutes he followed for a year had a Facebook page. Which is not nearly as troubling as the thought of some guy following 290 prostitutes around for a year.

Killer bird
A California man died from injuries suffered at a cockfight when he was stabbed by a rooster with a blade attached to it, a central California coroner said. Jose Luis Ochoa, 35, of Lamont, Calif., was pronounced dead at a hospital about two hours after he was stabbed in the right calf, perhaps severing an artery, The Bakersfield Californian reported.
