This is in response to Neil Spun’s letter “Clueless President”.
His letter is the second one the Tribune has published by yet another armchair ambassador second guessing the administration’s handling of the Egyptian revolution. An earlier letter writer complained of the lack of “intel” the White House was receiving. Who are these experts, and exactly what do they know that our intelligence services don’t? Moreover, exactly what alternative course of action are they recommending? Even House Speaker John Boehner effectively praised President Obama’s handling of the crisis as “the best response possible given the circumstances.”
There is nothing the president could have done to please these “Bama Bashers.” Their letters are nothing more than reckless attempts to trash any course of action he took.
