Optima Inc. is offering a new Luxury Leasing Program at Optima Old Orchard Woods in Skokie, aimed at giving prospective homebuyers a taste of upscale high-rise living.
The contemporary condominium building overlooks Harms Woods Forest Preserve. Consisting of 646 units in three interconnected towers, Optima Old Orchard Woods is in its final sales phase.
“Many prospective buyers have expressed interest in living at Optima Old Orchard Woods but are not ready to purchase,” said architect and developer David Hovey. “Our new program offers the chance to lease a condominium and enjoy living in the community while preparing to purchase in the future.”
Units showcase a variety of sizes, prices and views in flexible, open floor plans. Choices include one-, two-, three-bedroom or three-bedroom-and-a-den plans, as well as extra-large designs and penthouses.
Rental prices range from $1,500 to $1,800 per month for one bedrooms, $1,800 to $4,125 for two bedrooms and $3,125 to $4,725 for three bedrooms, including penthouses.
Residences have floor-to-ceiling windows, terraces, balconies and green roof gardens. Popular features include hardwood flooring, stainless steel appliances, designer cabinetry and granite countertops, luxury baths and washers and dryers. Fireplaces are available.
Building amenities include fitness centers, an indoor pool, spas, a party room, indoor heated parking, a grocer, coffee shop and dry cleaner.
“One of the most persuasive factors involved in the decision to buy or lease at Optima Old Orchard Woods rather than a downtown condominium building is the attainable prices and rentals compared to the city,” said Eric Richards, director of sales and marketing.
The Optima Old Orchard Woods sales center is at 9739 Woods Drive. For more information, call 847-583-4700 or visit optimaweb.com.
Alta at K Station
Chicago-based Fifield Cos. and its joint-venture partner, Pacific Life Insurance Co. of Newport Beach, Calif., have announced that Alta at K Station in downtown Chicago has been awarded Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
The two-tower complex of 848 units is the largest apartment building in the country to have earned Gold LEED honors, said Steven Fifield, president and founder of Fifield.
Located at 555 W. Kinzie St., Alta at K Station earned the LEED designation through green construction practices, including recycling building materials, reducing its energy consumption, creating a green roof and landscaping that requires minimal water, maximizing natural light and views in units and meeting an advanced standard for indoor air quality.
“We wanted to challenge ourselves to show the public that a luxury apartment building can also be eco-friendly, especially on such a large scale as Alta at K Station,” Fifield said. “The apartments are on par with some of the finest condominiums in Chicago, and the amenities rival those of an upscale hotel.”
Residences have floor-to-ceiling windows, kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, ceramic tile baths and in-home laundry.
Studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans with one to two baths are available in each tower. Floor plans range from 508 to 1,807 square feet, with rents starting at $1,455 per month.
Residents have access to a 32,000-square-foot deck called K2, which includes a sports court, lounge, party suite, balcony, pool, outdoor spa, cabanas, outdoor kitchen and a fire pit.
Eight models are open for touring.
