A Southwest Airlines plane landed safely at Chicago Midway Airport late Friday after reporting mechanical problems.
Southwest Flight 1047 from Orlando to Chicago, landed safely at 11:49 p.m., according to Dept. of Aviation Media spokeswoman Karen Pride.
She could not provide information on the mechanical problems.
According to the Southwest Airlines website, the plane left Orlando at 9 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 10:45 p.m.
The Chicago Fire Department responded to Midway to stand-by, according to Fire Media spokesman Rich Rosado. A Still and Box Alarm and an EMS Plan 1, which brings five ambulances, was called. However, no transports were made, he said.
