MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota trails American League Central leader Cleveland by nine games, but you can’t tell by the Twins’ recent hot streak.

Minnesota, which plays host to the Chicago White Sox in a three-game series starting Tuesday night, has won nine of its past 11.

Delmon Young is batting .341 with six RBIs in 12 games in June. Young is a lifetime .313 hitter in June.

Middle infielder Alexi Casilla is batting .347 in June, including a 5-for-7 stretch. He has committed one error since May 9.

Twins starters are 7-3 with a 2.38 ERA in June, and the bullpen has allowed three earned runs since June 1.

The Twins batted .319 with runners in scoring position in winning three of four games against Texas last weekend.

Oh, and the Twins have won 26 of their past 33 games against the Sox.
