Minnesota Vikings coach
Leslie Frazier
told me Thursday he is especially looking forward to his team’s Oct. 16 NFC North game against the Bears at Soldier Field, assuming the NFL lockout is resolved.
“It’s a divisional game, so whether it’s Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay … all of those games are major points of interest for our football team,” said Frazier, who took over for
Brad Childress
last Nov. 22. “Part of our work during this extended offseason has been working on the NFC North.”
This year, the Vikings are without the drama surrounding the possible return of Brett Favre. For good measure, I asked Frazier if there is any chance Favre will change his mind yet again.
“I haven’t talked to Brett. Nope, nope, nope,” said Frazier.
Word on the street:
Cubs Hall of Famer
Andre Dawson
will be at the Taste of Chicago’s BP booth Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to promote the Crosstown Cup.
