Today’s Voice of the People contained a well-written letter from Gerald Skoning regarding early Primary voting. However, I take issue with his final sentence : “Who knows, Illinoisans might someday have a meaningful voice in the selection of presidential candidates.”
Having been born and lived all my life in Illinois, other than my service in the Air Force, I don’t believe that the few Illinoisans who bother to vote have given any evidence that they can make a reasoned or rational choice for anything beyond “Do you want fries with that?”
