President Barack Obama has claimed again that he saved the country from a depression. How did he do this? He has spent money we don’t have with no plan to pay it back. Using the same logic I pose the following question: If I couldn’t pay my mortgage and had to pay it with my credit card, with no plan to pay it back, would I save my house from foreclosure? Or prolong the inevitable? In government, business, or personal matters, spending more than you take in always results in the same ending: bankruptcy.
