Oh boy, oh joy! No more next-day delivery? Is this the news we’ve been waiting for or what? Not only will there be a 1 cent increase to first class mail, beginning Jan. 22, but if the U.S. Postal Service gets their way and makes their estimated $3 billion in reductions, mail delivery will also be slower.

How’s that going to affect all of the news magazines and periodicals being sent via U.S. mail? Because, by the time consumers receive them, they’re liable to be last week’s news. We can forget about getting more bang for our buck. Not only will there be more time out, but more postal workers will be out of a job. Let’s just hope that no one “goes postal.”
