I agree with the gentleman from Bolingbrook who is concerned about the drive to remove all reference to Jesus from the celebration of Christmas. However I’m thinking about all the lawn decorations featuring those ugly blow-up Santas, reindeer and snowmen, and those flimsy spiral trees that blow over in the slightest wind. How many Christian homeowners spend their money on that kind of decoration? Why aren’t there more Nativity scenes? I live in Woodridge, and there are Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, Baptist and Mormon churches in the village. This makes me think that the population is predominantly Christian, so where are the religious decorations?

Christmas is now only 10 days away, but maybe next year, if anyone is going to buy new yard decorations, they might consider a nativity scene instead of all the Disney-ish nonsense.
