This is how Christmas has changed: My sisters and I would hang our black stockings somewhere on the kitchen stove on Christmas Eve. Early next morning we would run to the stove to see what we got. There would be assorted nuts, piece of fruit, a few pennies and maybe a toy from the 5 and 10 cent store. We were not disappointed. That was 94 years ago.
