So United States senators and representatives have left for the holidays.
When those of us who are lucky enough to be employed have work to do, we stay and do it. I guess that doesn’t apply to members of Congress.
In fact they have managed to do very little except argue, position themselves for the next election and, worst of all, they haven’t resolved anything that’s really important to the rest of us.
Hey guys: You work for us. Remember?
Even if they do come back in January and decide to make the tax cut and unemployment payments retroactive, which they will, it’s not good enough. They haven’t been good enough for a long time, and it’s time the rest of us did something about it. Let’s vote them out of office, all of the incumbents running for the Senate and the House in the next election. Every single one of them, gone! It wouldn’t be any worse than it is now, and that’s really sad.
Our power is in our votes. Let’s use them and keep using them to make sure that the people we “hire” to represent us represent us, not Big Money and not themselves.
