When our Founding Fathers wrote and passed the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, their goal was to craft timeless legislation that would lead to generations of American greatness.
If you want to compare then and now, consider what Congress has just passed. After weeks of the DC “freak show,” Congress just passed a two-month extension of the “payroll tax holiday”!
Two months!
But it is worse than that. Today we have $15 trillion of debt, “underemployment” is 20 percent, Social Security is almost bankrupt and our economy is stalled. And Congress gives us a two-month solution?
But it is worse than that. Everybody knows that Congress passed a fraudulent bill to cut Medicare and Medicaid costs by 25 to 30 percent. It is fraudulent because it demands doctors take a 25 percent reduction in their fees; if it went into effect, doctors would simply refuse to take those patients.
So every year, Congress passes the “doc fix,” which postpones that phony bill. So this two-month joke continues the doc fix for two months. In addition every expert says that a two-month bill will not create one job because nobody can plan on it or count on it.
But one thing is certain: This bill will reduce Social Security funding and hasten the day of bankruptcy.
Instead of exposing this joke, the media focused on disparaging the Republican attempt to extend this bill to one year with the hope of getting some benefit and putting this issue aside until after the election, so we can focus on the disaster that is our economy.
The media played co-conspirators to the fraudulent Obama administration claim that Republicans wanted to take away a middle-class tax cut instead of the truth that Republicans wanted to extend it. What a joke!
