Regarding “Obama relaxes as GOP hopefuls jockey in Iowa” (News, Dec. 29), I believe most Americans are fine with their president taking a holiday vacation with his family. Your reporting of President Obama’s vacation in Hawaii was pointless and transparent. This biased account should have been printed on the Opinion page, if at all. The juxtaposition of his leisure activities versus the Republican candidates campaigning in Iowa was nothing but mean-spirited.
If Obama’s rivals choose to leave their families behind during the holidays to play politics in Iowa, that’s a good indication of their own family values. May the nation take note and come to its own conclusions.
