I am a lawyer who has practiced in Lake County for 20 years. I know all of the candidates running for Lake County State’s Attorney.
And I’m voting for Chris Kennedy.
Chris Kennedy has a proven record of leadership, fighting for passage of numerous laws to protect individuals with autism and other disabilities, serving on the Autism Task Force, and also serving as a member of the Libertyville District 70 School Board.
In the courtroom, he has a proven record of results over his 17 year legal career, handling many difficult, high-stakes cases, and because of his experience, he knows where real change is needed. One of his priorities is to establish of a Conviction Integrity Unit that will examine cases in which DNA evidence does not match a defendant, and address repeated, ongoing concerns over alleged wrongful convictions in Lake County.
For the first time in a long time, we have an opportunity to see real change in the Lake County State’s Attorney Office.
