I had to chuckle when I read that GM is going to lay off 1,300 workers who make the Chevy Volt (“GM to halt Volt production for five weeks”, Business, March 2).
What a shock that a $41,000 automobile is doing so badly in the worst economic times in my life time.
What were they thinking?
