GLENDALE, Ariz. — Chicago White Sox manager Robin Ventura and his coaching staff will have plenty to evaluate following Saturday’s split doubleheader against the Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Eduardo Escobar will start at third base in the first game against the Rangers. Escobar is trying to make the team as a backup infielder. In the night game against the Dodgers, Ozzie Martinez will play short.

The Sox are expected to make their first round of cuts in the next few days.
