ARGO SECTIONAL

Championship: No. 1 Simeon 65, No. 16 Marist 44
Kendrick Nunn had 16 points and 5 rebounds, Jabari Parker had 19 points and 6 rebounds, and Steve Taylor added 9 points, 11 rebounds andf 4 blocks in the Simeon (30-1) win. Tyler Oden scored 15 points and Nic Weishar added 12 points for Marist (26-6).

BARRINGTON SECTIONAL

Championship: No. 3 Warren 87, Mundelein 52

DUNDEE-CROWN SECTIONAL

Championship: Rockford Auburn 67, No. 19 Elgin 56

EAST AURORA SECTIONAL

Championship: West Aurora 69, Metea Valley 61

GLENBROOK SOUTH SECTIONAL

Championship: Evanston 62, Niles North 42
Josh Irving had 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists, and Leonard Garron added 16 points and 6 rebounds for Evanston (21-10). Mychael Henley had 17 points and 6 rebounds, and Lorenzo Dillard scored 12 points in the North (21-9) loss.

LOCKPORT SECTIONAL

Championship: No. 6 Bloom 43, Homewood-Flossmoor 32

SCHAUMBURG SECTIONAL

Championship: No. 2 Proviso East 78, Schaumburg 39
Sterling Brown had 18 points and 8 rebounds, Keith Carter had 13 points and Branden Jenkins added 11 for PE (30-0). Kyle Bolger scored 20 for Schaumburg.

CLASS 3A SECTIONALS

GLENBARD SOUTH SECTIONAL

Championship: No. 10 Marshall 45, St. Francis 41
Milton Doyle scored 13 points and Korbin McClain added 11 for Marshall. Ryan Coyle dropped 16 in the St. Francis loss.

GRAYSLAKE CENTRAL SECTIONAL

Championship: No. 13 North Chicago 69, Lakes 59
Aaron Simpson scored 27 points and Kurt Hall added 20 for North Chicago. JJ Elvir had 15 and Direll Clark had 13 in the Lakes loss.

RICH EAST SECTIONAL

Championship: No. 14 Hillcrest 59, Morgan Park 48
Hillcrest’s Jovan Mooring scored 18 points in the win. Xavier Taylor had 15 for Morgan Park.

ST. IGNATIUS SECTIONAL

Championship: DuSable 57, Dunbar 55
Chris Galbreath scored 12 points to lead DuSable to its first sectional title. Dajuan Appleberry had 26 in the Dunbar loss.

SYCAMORE SECTIONAL

Championship: Rockford East 63, Aurora Central Catholic 52
Steven McNeese scored 22 points and Darshawn Pumphrey-King added 17 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter to help pace Rockford East. Steven McNeese led the E-Rabs with 22 points. Aurora Central Catholic’s Zach Flint scored 12 points.

CLASS 2A STATE SEMIFINALS

(at the Peoria Civic Center)

Breese Central 57, Seton 47

Brandon Book scored 24 in the victory. Jordan Foster led Seton with 13. Seton will face Rockford Lutheran at 6:30 Saturday in the Class 2A third-place game.

Normal University 55, Rockford Lutheran 52

Keita Bates-Diop had 16 points and 9 rebounds, and Kurtis Ellis added 13 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for Normal University (27-4). Teyvious Montgomery had 9 points and 7 rebounds, and Thomas Kopelman added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the RL (29-3) loss.

CLASS 1A STATE SEMIFINALS

Carrollton 45, Mason City Illini Central 44

Joey Coonrod had 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 steals, Tyler Watson had 7 points and 6 rebounds, and Jordan Harr added 9 rebounds for Carrollton (33-4). Jared Entwistle had 15 points and 6 assists, Jordan Bradshaw added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals in the Illini Central (17-13) loss.

Woodlawn 62, North Shore 44

A.J. Webb scored 21 points for Woodlawn, and Christian Hollenkamp had 15 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks for Woodlawn (28-5). North Shore’s Austin Curren had 22 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.
