We get so many nominations for truly deserving Remarkable Women that we want to feature a few more each week. And don’t forget: If you think you know a Remarkable Woman, please email TribU@tribune.com. Nomination videos are also welcome!
Dancing volunteer
“At 76, Ursula Levy volunteers to teach social/ballroom dance to senior citizens. She has volunteered for more than a year at the Portage Park Satellite Senior Center. She is thoroughly organized, knowledgeable and articulate, with always a smile and great attitude. … She knows everyone’s name, and the attendees are not necessarily regular. Her dances vary from waltz, cha-cha, salsa, tango, fox trot, polka, merengue and quick step. Lately she has added some folk dances like the hora. Since March 2011, I have attended her classes and love them.”

Exemplifies Jesuit ideal
“It is my joy to work with Elaine Mueller at St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago. Elaine is an English teacher who has given 20 years of service at St. Ignatius. … Her talents are numerous, and her willingness to share them is remarkable. However, Elaine’s contributions are beyond the classroom. … Elaine has spent a portion of the last two summers volunteering in Kigali, Rwanda. She works with the Benebikira Sisters, who founded a school for the orphans of the (Rwandan) genocide. Elaine is a humble yet strong individual whose life truly exemplifies the Ignatian/Jesuit goal: ‘To give and not heed the cost.'”
