Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
It seems like it was just yesterday, but in fact it was the summer of 1978 (34 years ago). I was graduating from Oakton Community College’s X-ray-technology program. Donna Summer’s song “Last Dance” was No. 1 on the billboards and disco was hot.
Everyone was dancing to this tune, including me. I loved it; anyone near me in traffic would also know that I loved it. It was obvious, as the music blared from of my car, with me singing along. I could hear nothing else.
Indeed it was a good summer.
It’s difficult to believe that Donna Summer has died at age 63. Where has all the time gone? In a word, Summer was “fabulous.” No one could compare or even come close.
