Padres 7, Diamondbacks 1: Jesus Guzman snapped a tie with a pinch-hit two-run homer in a six-run eighth inning as host San Diego snapped a six-game losing streak.

Alexi Amarista had two hits and scored two runs and Clayton Richard allowed one run and scattered seven hits in 6 2/3 innings for San Diego, which won for the second time in 11 games.

The Padresâ?? Andrew Cashner (3-3) pitched a scoreless eighth inning, but not without incident as the benches emptied after Chris Young was hit by a pitch.

The Diamondbacksâ?? Wade Miley (6-2) had a three-game winning streak snapped after allowing four runs and six hits in 7 1/3 innings. He was 1-for-3 to extend his hitting streak to eight games and is 9-for-21 (.429) this season.

Guzman hit a 1-0 changeup off Miley into the left field seats after Amarista reached on a bunt single with one out.

Cameron Maybin had an RBI triple, Carlos Quentin delivered a run-scoring single and Nick Hundleyâ??s fly ball was misplayed by Justin Upton and allowed two runs to score.

Miguel Monteroâ??s two-out single in the third gave Arizona a 1-0 lead before San Diego tied it in the bottom half when Amarista tripled with one out and scored on Richardâ??s groundout.

Arizonaâ??s Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to 10 games. He is 15-for-35 (.429) during that span.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Quentin went 1-for-4 and is 8-for-16 with seven RBIs in his first four games of the season after returning from knee surgery. â?
