Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

When RedEye heard about Greater Good Studio’s new CTA app Kickstarter campaign, we instantly thought of a few suggestions we think should definitely be part of the perfect CTA app, including:

>> A smell-o-meter that rates incoming buses on how much they reek. I’d gladly wait five minutes for the next one if it means avoiding a day of smelling like Mr. Onion Rings’ B.O.

>> Walking directions that give the most covered pathways (by trees or awnings), for days when it starts raining and you’re already a mile away from home.

>> Busker-radar that detects whether or not the incoming train has any performers on it. Some days, that authentic mariachi band is charming; some days you want to strangle them with their own guitar strings.

>> An excuse-finder that directs you to the most day’s most problematic “L” line, giving you the perfect cover-up for why you were five hours late to work (because you definitely weren’t just hungover).

>> A map pinpointing the public restrooms nearest to any stop. Maybe this could eliminate people barfing on trains, but probably not.

>> A rowdiness-re-router for when you just need to get home in peace and quiet. No more game-day fans, no more parade-goers, no more holiday hooligans.

>> An ESP function for predicting which trains/buses are going to suddenly switch to “Express.” Oh, guess I’m not getting off there today …

>> A rate-my-driver function that tells you the good (and bad) habits of the incoming bus driver. So I can avoid that guy who honks 1,782 times whenever there’s a car in front of him.

Any other ideas? Leave ’em in the comments.
