Faith is a very personal thing. We Christians are divided on the marriage-equality issue, even within denominations and individual congregations.
I strongly support Dan Cathy’s First Amendment right to freedom of speech and freedom of religion. But as Chick-fil-A’s CEO, he has made it clear that his company is publicly and financially opposed to equal rights. This corporate stance conflicts with the diversity and inclusiveness of the city of Chicago.
I stand with Ald. Proco “Joe” Moreno in his opposition to Chick-fil-A.
