The argument in support of football is that it somehow builds integrity through teamwork, discipline and determination.
Well, when I see a former player, coach or sports writer renounce the whole thing as more brutal than dog-fighting, then I will believe it builds integrity.
Until then, the rest of us could at least admit that our love for the game is little more than a lust for organized violence.
