Here’s my simple solution to Chicago’s teacher strike: Give them everything they want — raises, pensions, no performance evaluations, etc. Just ask the Chicago Teachers Union to politically support only one thing in return: no caps on new charter school openings. May the best educational model win. Whoever provides the better product at the better price, wins. It’s called market competition, Karen Lewis.
