Why are we still calling Mitt Romney “Governor”? What is he governing? What is he governor of? He was a governor several years ago, but, well, that was several years ago.
Why don’t we call him “ex-Gov.” Romney, or “one-term Gov.” Romney? Or “Businessman” Romney? Or “Multimillionaire” Romney?
These are all more accurate than “Gov.” Romney. And I know it’s not a really big thing, although it does convey a status that he doesn’t have.
Mostly, though, it’s just annoying.
