The cooking wars are heating up.
High end kitchenware retailer Sur La Table will be setting up shop in 900 N. Michigan Ave., just steps away from the competition, Williams-Sonoma which has a location on the mall’s 2nd level.
The 6,000 square-foot Sur La Table store is set to open on the mall’s third level in late spring, in a portion of the space that used to house apparel retailer Mark Shale, according to mall spokesman Ryan Beshel.
Sur La Table, whose headquarters are in Seattle, has locations in Lincoln Park, Oak Brook and Northbrook Court.
